bcalmed is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps patients recovering from breast cancer surgery. After a mastectomy or lumpectomy, our goal is to give patients a free, wearable bag that keeps surgical drains secure, discreet and out of the way, so recovery can be more dignified and easier.

Comfort beyond the bag
bcalmed also provides comfort cushions to soften the healing process. They help cushion tender incisions from seat belts, pillows and everyday pressure.

Patients can request a bag directly. Surgeons, hospitals and care teams can order bags for their patients at no cost, so their patients leave surgery ready for the road home.

bcalmed has delivered more than 31,000 bags to patients across the U.S. and abroad. Every bag is funded by donations. 100% of proceeds go to making and distributing bcalmed bags and bcalmed comfort cushions, and no salaries are paid.
